Day 1 in Germany

I made it, I had planned to arrive at BOS two hours early with the intention of blogging before I left. After Mass Pike traffic, navigating the construction at BOS, checking my bags, and making it through security (even with pre check) I had about 15 minutes to spare before boarding and I used that time to call family.

I may sound pompous but seven and a half hours is a long time to be in flight when you’re in coach. Being 6’7” I feel I can say that without actually being pompous. Regardless that journey is over and I’m here in country.

I was fortunate to have spent my last weekend with my family. 16 of us went to dinner and celebrated this new adventure. I am grateful for that opportunity. Even if I got back home and fell asleep at 8pm.

Starting orientation tomorrow at 1000 hours sharp. I will check back in later.
